**cringe**
8:17 PM
kim, the kick ass trainer extraordinaire at mine and susan's gym is like a goddess. she is strong and beautiful and sweet. susan and i both enjoy hanging out with her outside of the gym and often we marvel at how freakin' perfect she is. yesterday i invited her to come climb with me at our local rock gym and she suggested we kill ourselves all the more with some "stadium running" and "hanging abs". normally i would say hell no to such an offer but because it was the kim, i said OK! we climbed, we ran (well she ran, i walked) we dropped for push ups, we did calf raises, we not only did hanging abs, we did it with weights between our feet and to top it all off we did a variety of other torturous floor ab exercises. i am such a sucker and what i know as truth is this; it is amazing how much more you can get done when you are being motivated by a cute girl! so after all of these things, i dropped kim back at her car and proceeded to weakly drive my battered self home. on my way, while sitting at a red light i decided to text susan. i wrote... "kim is so hot!" and hit send. then with utter horror as the screen was flashing sending, sending, i realized i was sending this fucking text to KIM! end of challenge
5:03 PM
you all know i was doing this 90 day challenge and they took before/after pictures and i promised many that i would post them here on the blog. i am a woman of my word (but i'm thinking of changing that). my disclaimer is that although i am very proud of myself and have made so many changes in my body, it is still hard to look at pictures of myself in my underwear! i'm sure you can all relate. i did the challenge at "women's world", a local gym exclusively for women (hence the name) and the schedule that the trainer (kim, who made it fun and interesting) set me up on was 6 days cardio and 3 days of weights each week. it was to make myself fitter, not to lose weight. i stuck to it! i skipped very few days and i even worked out the entire week i was in vegas(top that bitches!) there was this period of time where i thought, "ok this is ridiculous! why the hell does someone really want to put themselves through this?" but i kept going. i kept sweating and hurting.... then i started to see little changes and it gave me encouragment. now, i have this glimpse of what my body can be and how i can feeeeel, because it is really all about feeling fit and good and energetic. i am proud of myself. i can't wait to see how much better it will get because even though the 90 day challenge is over i am so motivated to challenge myself now! look at these while you can because i may lose my nerve and take them down... ![]() ![]() Labels: 90 day challange, before/after, exercise, fitness 0 Comments |
