blogging as form of procrastination. 7:53 PM

so the craziness begins of cleaning, organizing, getting caught up, packing, arranging and all that for travel abroad. im a focused productive fool. i like to leave knowing when i come home, the only messes i have to clean are the ones that accumulated while i was gone. not ones that got left  behind. my momma taught me that. theres nothing better than landing wearily back in your clean and perfect home after an exhausting journey.

i have not seen the martha in a month. a month is too long to go. what is up with that damn ocean and why oh why is it so wide?

my beloved martha has a cutie cute 2 year old niece that i had the delight and pleasure of shopping for this weekend. her family spoils her silly and sent me savaging for adorable american winter clothes. it was heaven! i was reminded of a time when my children would let me doll them up as i wished. i bought dresses and stockings and fleecy pants and jackets with hoodies and flowery shirts with ruffles and bows (all cotton, of course, no scratchy mess here!) but the darlingest darling thing i got was a butterfly costume that her momma put in a special request for. i get rewarded with pisco sours! yum!

i have the, no-food-in-the-house-but-im-about-to-leave-the-country-so-i-dont-want-to-go-shopping syndrome. tonight? pizza delivery. pizza's appropriate! im getting myself all ready for the italy portion of my travels!
