what next? 11:59 PM

with the holy macbook pro.....i had a little accident. i was happily munching away on an everything bagel a good safe distance from said computer when during a regular normal every day bite a piece of garlic leapt from the side and landed squarely on my keyboard. the new shiny silver keyboard that i wipe down religiously with a soft felt cloth. i gasped! and reached carefully to reclaim the bastard spice that attempted escape as it quickly scooted down through the crack and under the L key. FUCK!

soooo, i thought well....no harm no foul and promptly forgot about it.

later that same evening....

i began to notice poor typing of the L. ugh. i pulled off the key, grasped the culprit using a tweezer with the steady hand of a surgeon and then could not reapply the key. tears streaming for 4 days while i waited for mac man(god) to call me back(answer my prayer)....and thus, my keyboard has been healed. thank the lord!

my children are completely unable to ring a trash can. often i am greeted in the kitchen with a confetti of waste orbiting the trash can. eggshells, crumbs, wrappers, food particles and all that jazz.

chelsea in particular has begun to delight in baking "topless" cookies with her friend haven at midnite. just this week, i awoke one morning to find the floor littered with flour and rosemary and there must have been a dough spill because our dish sponge was caked with dried and sticky goo while lying neatly on the kitchen drain like it had only been resting there innocently all night.

instead of continuing to be crushed and disappointed when all hell breaks loose again with the kids and the shenanigans that they are getting into....i've decided to just realize that the next few years are going to be this way. they are teens and "it is what it is!" they will survive it.....most likely. i did and i was a wild thing. the pattern has been this....

-kid effs up
-i freak out (cry, sleep, fret)
-restrictions/high alert
-kids get cool
-i relax
-kid effs up
-i freak out ( you get the picture)

no more.

now it is this....

-kid effs up
-restrictions/high alert
-kids get cool
-kid effs up
-restrictions/high alert
and so forth and so on until they are 18 and i move to europe.
