migrane? 9:22 PM

yesterday chelsea and i drove to wakulla to help my mother's best friend/wife paint her new house. the fumes were strong and i asked if they were high when i arrived. my mother said "no, i wish". hah. she's a funny girl.

i started painting the baseboards. i am a good painter. straight lines, steady hands...i come from a long line of house painters. "the famous painting tilleys" they've been called; maybe you've heard of them. and yes, my maiden name is tilley. stop laughing and read on...

after about 30 minutes or maybe not even, i sensed a headache lurking in the shadows, like the boogie man. an unusual feeling, creeping up on me and making me all fraidy.

i downed ibuprofen and kept painting, trying to sip water but beginning to feel throw-uppy.

when i began breathing audibly, like an obese 70 year old man getting up from the floor...i realized i needed to go. get out of that air. but where? outside? it was 100 degrees and i wanted to barf and cry and lay down.

chelsea drove me home. i called martha (pressure point queen) and karen (accupuncturist guru). amanda was called. anything, anybody. i just needed help.

cold showered, foot massaged, pressure points pummeled, water nursed, napped, dinnered. i started to feel normal again but that lurking feeling wouldn't fully dissipate.

today was a lazy relaxed napped day and i am all healed cept for a bit-o-tension in the shoulders that will be beaten out of me soon a la massage de jour.

thank you to everyone who jumped in and doctored me and loved me and made me feel better.
