i am organized, packed and groomed, massaged and getting ready to be rested and excited. my trip is so close i can taste it.

out of here and taxi'd by my karen at 9am to the airport to begin the first leg to charlotte. layover. then to frankfurt. i don't mind layovers so much. i browse shops, eat, read, wirelessly connect, lay on the floor, people watch. time flies.

this journey i will be alone. no kids in tow. i am actually excited about the quiet amidst the crowd. no ruckus of my own. 

well maybe a llittle ruckus....i've got david sedaris on my ipod and this will of course cause me to embarrass myself to no end. last listen of he caused DC to shoot out of my nose. that burns by the way.

i am doing all carryon. no checking. unless i change my mind. it's tempting. keeping up with all your own crap is a pain! i'd rather have it lost not by me, so i can drop kick blame into someone elses face. i've got all manner and sorts of camera gear which is a lot like having another adult strapped to my back. (and not in the good way)
