rainbows and unicorns

i stayed up late late late last night! partying? you ask. Nooo cleaning! cleaning has always been therapeutic for me; it stimulates thought processes, works out aggressions.... so at midnight last night with not much desire for sleep, i got up and started to polish and shine my entire little house. is this manic? i dont care. it accomplishes much! - folded mounds of laundry ( and i mean MOUNDS) - vacuumed - bathroom (eeew!) - changes ac/heat filter - kitchen - organized my closet (one hell of a task, lemme tell ya!) i went to sleep at 3am i awoke this morning and although i was weary from lack of sleep, my outlook is greatly improved. i have a real feeling of clarity for the first time in months. it feels goood. with diet coke in hand, drivin' along listening to david gray (my obsession), feeling good... i get a call from my dear friend karen. karen whom i adore. karen whom i almost never see. karen who should be named frank because she is so! she's behind me in traffic and we pull over, hug and she climbs in to my warm and yummy car to face each other and share. share about our crazy ass kids. we laughed and cried and GOD! i love her! i am happy and finally i believe that the black cloud will cease and desist! 4 Comments |
