only in the south 9:56 PM

i was strolling unsuspectingly through my myspace page tonight and noticed a bulletin posted by my mother. (yes, my mother has a myspace page-she's all hip like that! as a matter of fact, her default pictuR iz her and her bff, doin the whole 'see food' thing. chek it out here!)
annnyway.... MY mother, posting a bulletin? very curious! i opened it to find this:

Subject guess who
Body:
Guess who is getting married? My mom. She is sooooo happy!!
She is 80 and he is 88.

ok, you see that part about her mom? that's my grandma! a bean fell out of my mouth when i read it. this is not something i knew about. i didnt even know that my grandma was dating anyone! does anyone else see how absurd it is for me to find out by reading a myspace bulletin that my 80 year old grandma is getting married?

ok. it gets bigger than all that!! i called my mom IM-eeeed-iate-LY! she answered with a knowing giggle at the back of her throat. (that bitch!!!***) and i was all like "ok, who's she marrying?" and she was like "oh. my. gawd." AND then she said, and i quote, "she's marrying uncle hayward."

ok, did you see that uncle part? yeh, that means my uncle is marrying my grandma! no shit! not like an incestual marriage, NO, not at all like that. it's not as bad as all that! she's marrying her late husband's mother's brother. heehee stay with me.

she's happy as all heck! mom said she cant even talk about anything else without bringing it back around to uncle hayward. she said grandma said and i double quote " 'he makes me laugh!!' " all while blushing like a school girl! how cute is that? she deserves happiness. she was lonely. don't get me wrong. i want this for her! but, i have to say again, just because it's so strange sounding and i cant get it right in my head.... my grandma is getting married to my uncle hayward and i found out about it on myspace!

top THAT!

she's the one with the big red arrow pointing at her head in case you were wondering which elderly lady it was that's getting married.

*** i'm totally kidding-i'm really not mad
