photogenic ability 8:07 PM

in 4th grade, my school tried a new method of selling school portraits. sample pictures were sent home stapled to an envelope. the parents were supposed to be inspired by the cuteness of their kid and dig deep into their wallets and send $ back to school for more copies.

my mother looked at the photograph that i brought home for a long time, laid her hand on my shoulder and said "aw, poor baby, you are not at all photogenic! you get that from me."

back then, i actually thought i looked quite pretty in this picture. you know, as pretty as i could be because lets face it MOM, it's the teeth i got from you! yeh, thanks for that one.

needless to say, we did not order more of these!
