our summer vacation...a taste

since 2003 chelsea, raven and i have gone to north carolina to be with our dear friends katie and jason, along with about 30 others. we gather at "big butte", a 90 acre retreat outside of waynesville and not too far down the road from asheville. this year we were lucky to have sweet lisette and maya with us! here are just a few images but check back soon because i will have a slide show of this year and last year up soon on the big butte page!  ok so this year there was some crazy butterfly convention going on!i need answers, what were they up to? there were clusters of them everywhere... on the ground, on the rocks in the river, you could hold them and put them on your clothing as accessories. it was very mysterious!  breakfast my favorite past-time was stacking rocks.well, with the rushing and deafening sound of the river and hours of searching for the perfect shaped rock to fit the groove of the one beneath it, i feel certain i was doing something deeeeply spiritual. although, maybe it was just like that ole sayin'... simple things for simple (well you get what i'm saying)  look! the adolescents are outside, during the day and they dont look too bored. vegas hates the water.not too long after this noble photo, pobre perrocito was scrambling up the side of a rock and then splashing pathetically in the water. i laughed!  ok, now you wish you were me.0 Comments |
